ANNUAL GENERAL
MEETING
The Annual General
Meeting of the Shareholders of Capital régional et coopératif
Desjardins took place at the Québec City Convention Centre,
on March 28, 2008, at 10:30 a.m.
At that time, the
following two directors were elected by the shareholders, each
for a term of one year or until such time as their successors
shall
be elected or appointed:

experience related to the Company’s lines of business
Applied
economist specializing in agrifood and natural resources, two
important regional activities. Professor at Université Laval
since 1998, Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of
Maine since 2005, and director of the master’s program in Rural
Economics since 2006. My flagship course is “Economic principles
of agrifood sector cooperatives.” I was vice-president/shareholder
and treasurer of an agrifood consulting firm and have served
on numerous boards of directors of non-profit organizations.

minors in Marketing and Environment.

in Rural Economics, Cornell University (New York, USA), 1993,
majors in International Trade.
B.Sc.A.
in Agricultural Economics, Université Laval (Québec), 1991.
Reasons
for nomination
I
believe in regional action and in the values of the cooperative
movement as a tool for economic development. I want to contribute
to the success of the Company, both in the area of development
goals and shareholder return. At 40, I am still young and dynamic
and believe my professional skills would be an asset to the
Company and allow it to diversify the composition of its Board
of Directors.

Professional
experience related to the Company’s lines of business
From
1963 to 2001, I was actively involved in the development of
Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Bas-St-Laurent where, starting
in 1993, I held the positions of Senior Vice-President and General
Manager. I also chaired the Board of Directors of the Fonds
d’investissement régional du Bas-St-Laurent and for several
years was a member of the investment committee of Desjardins
Venture Capital, which is now manager for Capital régional et
coopératif Desjardins. I currently serve on the boards of directors
of several regional corporations.
Professional
training
Over
my career, I completed many training courses in administration,
mainly at Université du Québec à Rimouski.
Reasons
for nomination
I
have far-reaching experience as a corporate director, having
served on the boards of directors of Confédération des caisses
Desjardins du Québec, Caisse centrale Desjardins, Société de
développement industriel du Québec and, since its creation in
2001, Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins. My abiding
commitment to participating in economic and social development,
together with my experience and passion for development capital,
motivate me to seek your support so that I may continue to represent
you on the Board of Directors of the Company.
