of a buyback » Delay of redemption

How long does it take for my shares to be redeemed?

Your written and signed request for redemption must be sent to Desjardins Capital régional et coopératif within 30 days of the subscription date, to the address indicated in the section entitled What is the procedure for redeeming my shares?  We recommend that you clearly indicate your Investor Number or Account Number, which appears on your transaction statement.

You can request that the amount of your share buyback:

  • be paid to you by cheque sent by mail;

OR

  • be deposited to your account at the caisse. Indicate the name of your caisse and your account number.

The buyback amount represents the price you paid for the shares when you purchased them, not their market value on the buyback date. If you redeem all your shares, you will also be reimbursed for the administrative charges you incurred to purchase the shares.

By cancelling your participation, you automatically forfeit your right to the Québec tax credit for the shares that you sell. However, you may take advantage of the tax credit when you purchase shares of subsequent Desjardins Capital régional et coopératif issues.
