FTE Drilling was formed by the 2015 merger of F. Lapointe et Fils, founded in 1923, and Technic-Eau Drillings Inc., founded in 1988. Headquartered in Sherbrooke, FTE Drilling is a mining, well and geothermal drilling specialist. Home to some 100 employees in Canada, the company also has operations in West Africa (Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Mali and Senegal) and, as of two years ago, South America (Surinam).
